Colors

1. Primary colors: red, blue, and yellow

2. Secondary Colors: mix equal amounts of any two primary colors

red + yellow = orange
blue + yellow = green
blue + red = purple

3. Tertiary colors: mix together a primary color with an equal amount of the secondary color next to it

Complementary (互補的) colors: two colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel

Such as: red for green; orange for blue

When complementary colors are mixed together, they subdue or neutralize each other's intensity.

Value describes the lightness or darkness of a color.

A hue is the pure color. Tints and shades are values of a color.
